A MAN was fined after he became involved in a row with bouncers at a Bury nightclub.
Richard Green (27), of Hunstanton Drive, Bury, was given a fine and costs totalling £69 after he admitted using threatening and abusive words and behaviour likely to cause alarm or distress.
Miss Lisa Hashmi, prosecuting, said police officers on duty in The Rock shortly after midnight came across Green being abusive to door staff at a nightclub from which, it was alleged, he had been ejected.
He was warned on a number of occasions to desist and make his way home. He did leave the area, but later returned to the club. Green made a cutting action with his hand against his throat to the door staff. He was arrested and taken to the police station where he spent the night. Mr Roger Taylor said Green, who had no similar previous convictions was upset because he had been the victim of an unprovoked attack by a third party.
