TINY tots from Bury put on their dancing shoes to celebrate ten years of musical education.
The 300 youngsters from Bury and Bolton attend educational music classes Rhythm Time which are held on a daily basis for babies and young children aged up to five years old.
The classes aim to teach basic musical skills including singing, dancing and learning to play instruments at an early age based on objectives covered by the National Curriculum.
Rhythm Time classes were started in 1995 by a music teacher in Solihull and have steadily grown in popularity throughout the last decade with classes in Greenmount, Ramsbottom, Stand and Bolton.
The 10th anniversary was celebrated with 400 people, including the Mayor of Bolton, enjoying a musical extravaganza with performances from Bolton Youth Choir, Bolton Music Service and Welsh National opera singer Antonia Clark, one of the Rhythm Time mums.
The children managed to raise £450 which was split between Fairfield Hospital's Special Care Baby Unit and the Royal Bolton Neo-Natal Unit.
