NATURE lovers are invited to join Bury's countryside rangers for a free guided walk around Burrs Country Park next Wednesday.
Walkers can discover the history of the two industrial mills, the River Irwell and the wildlife along with how the park came into being and why it has won Green Flag status. The walk will last two hours and is suitable for push-chairs and wheelchair users. Meet at the chimney in the main car park at 1pm.
There are another two walks next month: on October 9, a nine-mile circular walk from Burrs to Ashworth Moor, and on October 16, a similar tour from Burrs to Deeply Vale through Chesham Woods.
