YOUNGSTERS have turned to art to bring a little extra colour to their countryside.
Pupils in East Bury will have their work exhibited to the public on Thursday and Friday before their creations are put on show around Chesham Local Nature Reserve.
The students came from Hoyle Nursery and Chesham, East Ward, St John with St Mark, St Joseph and St. Bede, and St Pauls primary schools. They visited the reserve with local artists, and made a series of panels representing six woodland areas. Each school used a different artistic medium, from silk painting and batik to photography and sculpture.
The panels carry the name of the wood, together with the school behind the design, and walkers can soon view them on a circular walk of the reserve.
The exhibition is held at St John's Church social centre in Parkinson Street, Bury between 10.30am and 3pm.
