LEGENDS of comedy from the hit TV show The Comedians will be reuniting for one night only in Summerseat next month.
Six comedians, including Frank Carson, Jim Bowen and Bernard Manning, will be taking to the stage at The Waterside 35 years after first appearing in the show which made them stars.
The Comedians became a cult hit in the 1970s for its stand-up comedy which saw the launch of several household names, including Mike Reid, before ending four years later.
But, on October 27, Mick Miller, Johnny Casson and Stan Boardman will be joining Frank, Jim and Bernard back on the stage for a comedy extravaganza. The evening is ticket-only and includes a four course meal for £95.
Landlord Nick Hogan said: "The Waterside is the only place in the country to have this show and it is an exclusive for Bury! It is unbelievable that a pub in Bury has managed to pull it off."
