IT IS about time that the powers-that-be got something sorted out about a post office in Bury.

I have rung them twice to tell them there are two empty shops to let near Kay Gardens, one next to The Knowsley and one in Broad Street.

I can't see what use a temporary facility will be. What is needed is something permanent. If a cabin is fixed up near Kay Gardens, there will be a queue a mile long and, if it won't fit everyone in, people will be wet through standing about there.

I don't know if the powers-that-be have checked the two shops which I rang about, but I think they are thinking it would be too costly to rent somewhere, but a cabin will be as much use as a chocolate teapot.

Come on, let's see some action and something being sorted pretty quickly.
