EAGLEY moved smoothly into the next round of the Lancashire Amateur Shield with a 7-0 demolition of Cumbrian side Haverigg United.
The Villagers started slowly, but after 35 minutes Carl Grimshaw broke the deadlock when he headed home firmly from close in and addede a second before the break
In the second half, the Cumbrians put up a brave rear guard action, but finally collapsed as Grimshaw completed his hat-trick. and further strikes from Matty Swailes, Rob Maldina, Kevan Hughes and Clint McCloughlin completed the rout.
