YOUNG Bolton gymnasts are being invited to see the sports national stars for free in Wigan later this month.
The town is hosting the British Mens Artistic Gymnastic Championships at Robin Park Arena and Sports Centre on September 24 and 25.
The prestigious event has been held annually since 1896 and is back at Robin Park this year for the third time.
British champion and Commonwealth medallist Ross Brewer and rising star James Evans will be among the competitors.
Established talents will be battling hard for medals alongside Britains finest young performers as they begin the countdown for places in the 2012 London Olympics.
The organisers are offering children under 16 in the Bolton and Wigan areas the chance to see the stars for free at a special taster day the day before the event starts.
To arrange for a visit, contact Mike Lea, Wigan Leisure and Culture Trusts gymnastics development officer, on 01942 404952.
