THE family of teenager Michael Shields, who is serving a 15-year-sentence in a Bulgarian jail, were meeting Foreign Secretary Jack Straw on Tuesday.
The 18-year-old from Wavertree, Liverpool, was convicted of the attempted murder of barman Martin Georgiev in the resort of Golden Sands.
Graham Sankey, 20, also from Liverpool, admitted the attack but his confession was not accepted by Bulgarian courts.
Liverpool Riverside MP, Louise Ellman, told BBC Merseyside Mr Straw must do all he can.
