SHOTGUN raiders got away with cash after threatening staff in a tea-time raid at a betting office.
Punters froze to the spot as two masked men with shotguns and another brandishing a knife burst into the Done Brothers bookmakers in Westleigh Lane, Leigh and threatened the 25-year-old female cashier.
They forced the terrified woman into a room at the back of the shop where they told her to open s safe but she was unable to do so because of a time delay mechanism. They then went back to the main office and grabbed cash estimated at between £300 and £400 from a till and got into a waiting vehicle.
Police have issued desriptions of the robbers.
The first gunman was a white male, in his late teens or early 20s, six feet tall and slimly built. He had a local accent and wore dark clothing and a balaclava.
The second gunman also wore dark clothing and a balaclava.
The man with the knife was in his late teens or early 20s, under six feet tall and wore dark clothing and a balaclava.
