A TRIVIA fanatic from Bolton has been signed up to provide the questions for a top TV game show.
Engineering clerk Martin Hutchinson will be setting the posers on the next series of ITV's Talking Telephone Numbers.
Martin has been involved in the local quiz scene for years and has now been given his chance to hit the big time thanks to a contact from the past.
Martin, who works at Hick Hargreaves in Bolton, spends his leisure time swotting up on facts and figures and pursuing his other hobbies of music and TV shows.
He said: "Of course I was delighted when I spoke to the producer of the show who I met years ago and he agreed a contract for me to provide the questions."
As reported in the BEN, Martin won the BBC TV FAX trivia quiz in 1987 and a man he met behind the scenes on that show now works as a producer for Talking Telephone Numbers.
The questions Martin from Astley Bridge is providing are asked at the end of the show when a telephone caller tries to win a cash prize live on air.
The next series of the popular show, hosted by Phillip Schofield and Emma Forbes, is due on screen next year.
Martin has also started setting a weekly trivia question on a late night show on Red Rose Radio.
He said: "It's just a hobby to me really but it's good to be setting questions for a show watched by people around the country."
