On the Saturday in the downhill Matt Holstead riding in the Seniors finish fifth. In the Juniors Neil Prentice was on his way to finishing well up the field, when gear problems dented his chances, in the end he had to settle for 20th place.
On Sunday in the Cross Country Races Vet rider Roy Hunt had a splendid win. In the Youth Category David Brailsford and Neil Prentice both finished with top ten places, fifth and ninth respectively whilst 12 year old Mark Smith finished 41st, being the first 12 year old to finish.
This Saturday many of the top British Downhill Riders will converge on Rivington for the Second Dual Eliminator Downhill, promoted by Bolton MTB.
The course described as one of the most demanding in the country should provide spectacular racing as riders race against each other for prizes worth over £2,000.
