A BOLTON medium has told the mother of moors murder victim Keith Bennett that her agonising 30 year search will be over within a year.
James Byrne made the prediction to Winnie Johnson on a late night radio show phone-in this week.
Mrs Johnson today told the BEN she now aims to link up with the medium again to help guide her to her son's body.
Killers Ian Brady and Myra Hindley buried Keith on the desolate moors above Saddleworth, but his body has never been found.
During the programme on Piccadilly 1152am, James - billed as "Britain's leading medium" - chatted with anonymous callers.
And after talking with Winnie for a few minutes James built up a picture and told her she was the mother of Keith Bennett.
James said: "I'm not told who any of the callers are. But as I was speaking to her I began to see the number 12 and a young boy.
"Keith was 12 when he disappeared. I said she had two sons in the other world. A young boy was then telling me all about the moors.
"Then the lady told me that she was Winnie Johnson, the mother of Keith Bennett."
Before the phone conversation ended James predicted that Mrs Johnson's campaign to find her son's body would soon come to an end.
He said: "But it won't happen in the way most people might expect."
Winnie has been trying to locate Keith's body on the moor near Oldham by getting murderer Hindley toconfess under hypnosis. Winnie, who lives in Fallowfield, Manchester, said: "I'm really hoping James will guide us now. I'm still hoping something might come out of the hypnosis but I'm not pinning everything on that now.
"I've been searching for 31 years - maybe the end could be in sight. But I hope someone else actually finds Keith.
"I desperately want him to be found but I don't know how I'd react if he was uncovered."
The BEN revealed exclusively in 1988 that Winnie was conducting her own searches of the moors after police investigations drew a blank.
Winnie plans to speak to James again soon to help her make more contact with her son
