LLOYDS Bank has become the first to introduce left-handed cheque books.
They are identical to right-handed books, but are reversed so that the binding and stubs are on the right.
The Left Handers' Club surveyed its 2,000 members across the country last year and cheque books topped the list of items which they would most like to see adapted.
The new books, which can be ordered through any branch of Lloyds, have been introduced following a trial among 150 customers in the Cambridge area.
Converted for the new archive on 14 July 2000. Some images and formatting may have been lost in the conversion.
