SIR: I wish to express my deep concern about the heavy use of traffic on Redcar Road, Little Lever.
All kinds of traffic use this road as a short cut through the village and, as it is a residential area, it is a nightmare. There have been one or two accidents, and trying to come out of one's driveway is a lottery. It is known as "Death Valley", and considering the fact that St Teresa's School is only 100 yards away, it is a wonder no child is killed. Sometimes 40ft lorries are parked and speed seems to be the norm. Are we to wait until someone is killed or maimed before some sleeping policemen are laid down?
