A FRANTIC mum is appealing for information about her two children who have been missing since Saturday afternoon.
Mrs Patricia Torkington, 34, of Towers Avenue, Deane, has not seen her two sons since 2pm on Saturday.
Police called at Mrs Torkington's home on Saturday to question the two boys after receiving a report that they had taken parts from a stolen car which had been left in Towers Avenue.
But when she went upstairs 13-year-old Craig and Anthony, 12, had disappeared.
A family friend said: "It is possible that they got out through an upstairs window.
"The police were informed at 6pm on Saturday and have been today to see if there is any news. We are becoming increasingly worried because five days is a long time for two children their age to be missing."
"There are no problems at home, everything is fine. I suppose the boys could have been frightened off when they heard that the police wanted to interview them. Even so you would have thought they would have turned up by now.
"Patricia is very upset and worried about them. We have searched and searched the streets but can't find them anywhere. We have no idea where they are. It is like they have disappeared off the face of the earth."
Anthony attends Deane School and Craig is a pupil at Withins but the boys have not been seen at school this week.
Patricia is separated from her 30-year-old husband Ian. He visits the house on occasions to see Craig and Anthony but has stayed at the house while the boys have been missing.
