A FORMER Bolton man is hoping to hit the jackpot with a board game based on the National Lottery.

Ray Sandiford, who used to run Bolton's Butterfly World, dreamed up his lottery board game two weeks after the draw first started.

He spent a further three months making a prototype out of supermarket cardboard boxes.

The aim of the game, which comes complete with a full set of lottery numbers and lucky star sign counters, is to be the first player to win £1 million.

Father-of-four Ray, who now lives in North Wales, has tried to get backing for his idea from the big games manufacturers without success, but still believes his idea can have a commercial future.

He believes it could take about £50,000 to get his product launched and is hoping BEN readers can come up with any ideas which may help him.

"I want to see if there is anybody around the Bolton district who has any suggestions," said Ray, aged 52.

But Ray realises he has more chance of earning his fortune through the game than through buying a winning lottery ticket.

So far he has only earned £10 in prize money from the weekly draw!
