A MAN'S nose was bitten off in a violent pub attack at the weekend. Lee McAllister, 26, has been left disfigured for life after surgeons were unable to sew his nose back on.
He suffered horrific injuries when an argument erupted into violence outside the Bowling Green pub in Bolton Road, Pendlebury, at 11pm on Saturday.
Mr McAllister, who lives in Little Hulton, was rushed to Withington Hospital in Manchester, but was allowed home last night after the microsurgery was cancelled.
Mr McAllister may now have to undergo plastic surgery.
Police, who interviewed him at his hospital bedside yesterday, say the violent attack was "totally unprovoked".
A friend who answered the door at his Little Hulton home said today: "He has been left disfigured for life.
"Surgeons at the hospital have not been able to stitch his nose back."
Detectives were today hunting Mr McAllister's attacker.
