GOOD news for lovers of organ music.
The magnificent organ, built for All Souls Church, Astley Street, Bolton by Isaac Abbot in 1882, has recently been put back into playing order.
To mark this, a recital will be given at the church, just off Blackburn Road, on October 26 at 7.30 pm.
The organist will be Quentin Wilson, vicar of Billington, near Blackburn who has called his recital These You Have Loved.
The recital is being organised by the Churches Conservation Trust, owners of the Church. Admission is free.
If this concert proves popular, the Trust hopes recitals at the church will become a regular part of Bolton life.
