NORWEB Communications will be helping Granada Television provide free Internet access to members of the public.
It will be part of the Boddingtons Manchester Festival between October 21 and 29.
Free telephone connection and lines are to be provided for the project, which is to be called Free Surf City.
It will be available in Piccadilly (at the Norweb shop), G-Mex (foyer cafe), The Internet Explorer (12 Little Lever Street), the Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester Metropolitan University and Dry, Alaska and Atlas Bars.
These locations will offer the public free, supervised and tutored Internet sessions.
