THERE is a growing campaign to have stage hypnotists banned in this country.
The Campaign Against Stage Hypnosis was launched by Margaret Harper, whose daughter, Sharon Tabarn, died within hours of taking part in a hypnotism show two years ago.
Stage hypnotists have been banned by Bolton Council from performing in the town since 1982.
There is an acknowledged difference between stage hypnotists and hypnotherapists.
Hypnotherapists use the powers of hypnotism in an attempt to cure patients of deep-rooted problems, including in Lynn's case those thought to have been caused by a stage show.
Anyone who has suffered after a stage show can ring Margaret Harper's campaign on 01772 813052.
