THIEVES who broke into a globetrotting band's tour bus in Bolton could soon be on speaking terms with some of the world's biggest stars.
For the crooks stole a haul of diaries - which included the home telephone and mobile phone numbers for stars such as Tina Turner and Phil Collins.
The theft was discovered minutes after the blues band, King Bizkit, left the stage following a gig in the Festival Hall last week.
Their tour bus was broken into while parked behind the town hall.
Suitcases containing clothing had been stolen along with a flight case belonging to lead singer Richard Everitt. The case contained diaries and notebooks with the group's tour dates for the next 12 months and the home phone numbers of music promoters, agents and musicians, including many famous names.
"I am very embarrassed that those telephone numbers may have fallen into the wrong hands," said Richard.
"I have collected those numbers during my 30 years in the music business. They are irreplaceable."
Richard formed his band, King Bizkit, in 1989. The stolen diaries included dates for the group's forthcoming European tour.
"Without those dates we really are lost," Richard said. "We're not too sure what venues we are playing or even which country we should be in.
"We're not bothered about the clothing but the diaries in my metal flight case are priceless to the band. We're desperate to get them back again."
Anyone who can help Richard recover his diaries is asked to contact Bolton Police or return the property to Bolton Town Hall.
