A NEW course launched at Bolton Institute three weeks ago is already reaping rewards for its young graduates. Since starting on the Job Search Skills course, several graduates have been asked for interview and some have even left the course after receiving job offers. As a result there are now a few places available on the 10 week course aimed at graduates and holders of HNDs who are 25 or under.
The course, which is free, is held one day a week and offers free photocopying, postage, telephone calls and fax as well as access to graduate vacancy sheets and newspapers.
There are also talks, seminars and workshops on different aspects of job search skills including CV and applications, interview techniques and assertiveness training.
The course is supported by Bolton and Bury Training and Enterprise Council and the European Social Fund.
