BURY chartered accountants Downham Train Epstein have been awarded the prestigious title of "Investor in People".
This is a national quality standard awarded to companies who provide training resources to their staff enabling them to do their work to the very best of their abilities.
Training partner Tony Taylor said: "In receiving the Investor in People award we feel we are gaining recognition for our commitment to our staff.
"We are in a 'people business' and in order to provide our clients with the best service possible, we need to ensure that we have the best people possible."
The award has been given to DTE and its associated companies after only eight months from start to finish, believed to be a record for a professional firm.
DTE, established since 1983, operate from their "Centre of Business Excellence" in Hollins Mount, Bury, employing 130 people and occupying almost 40,000sq ft of accommodation, specialising in tax mitigation advice for successful owner managed companies.
