SIR: The October 31 edition of the BEN will have brought much hope to the local residents who have been opposing the proposed Supertip on Red Moss.
The courageous decision by the four Labour 'rebels' to oppose the Council on Wednesday night must be applauded. They are aware of the feelings of local residents and responded accordingly.
The BEN editorial column once again urged the Council to give up on its plans to tip of Red Moss. The BEN is aware of the feelings of the residents.
Following the submission of a planning application by UK Waste Limited, the Bolton Council chiefs are to hold a 'special consultation and information drive' aimed at keeping local people in the picture about the 'scheme'. Someone just isn't listening.
