A HIT-and-run motorist who drove away from the scene of a two-car crash in Over Hulton last night is being hunted by the police.
The driver raced away in the XR3 involved after the accident in Newbrook Road about 8pm.
Police said the motorist drove out of the car park of the Hulton Arms and was involved in a crash with a passing Escort car.
The XR3 was later found abandoned in roadworks in nearby Park Road.
The driver of the Escort car involved 48-year-old Brian Stewart of Mount Pleasant Road, Farnworth, was not injured.

Motor cyclist John McCabe, aged 28, suffered a broken leg after losing control of his bike in Manchester Road, Westhoughton, yesterday.
Mr McCabe of Longshore Walk, Deane, was still detained in Bolton Royal Infirmary earlier today.
