ATHERTON LR entertain big spending Premier Division side Chorley tonight in the second round of the Lancashire ATS Trophy as they look to avenge a League Challenge Cup 1-0 defeat at Crilly Park.

LR must be wary of catching the visitors on the rebound after Saturday when Dave Sutton's side went down to a 3-0 home thumping by Spennymoor United.

Dave Morris' men must concentrate on their own game and have every reason to feel confident.

Rovers are proving a solid outfit at the moment, typified by Saturday's 2-1 home win over Whitley Bay. Tony Pemberton appears to be one hundred per cent fit again after a bout of flu and could clinch a place in the starting line-up. DAISY Hill also face higher graded opposition in the second round. They travel to North West Counties League Division One side Blackpool Rovers looking to improve on their 2-0 League Cup defeat in October.

In-form defender Gary Crosby misses the game due to work commitments and NWCL December Player of the Month Danny Mills faces a late fitness test after limping off in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Maghull.
