Wigan 32 Bradford Bulls 18 WIGAN'S exciting Kiwis ensured the champions celebrated an incredible seven successive league titles at Central Park last night to maintain their stranglehold on the game.

Henry Paul and Va'aiga Tuigamala were instrumental in destroying Bull's resistance to enable the champagne to flow with two league games in hand.

Not surprisingly coach Graeme West was delighted with the style in which his side had lifted the trophy - which will now remain at Central Park for good.

"When we started the season we thought it was not that much, but to keep the cup means it is one of the most important championships we have ever played in.

"The lads have really played well, but the best part of it is that we have had internationals leave the club and young players come through and taken their places.

"We have a very tough week ahead but this is brilliant. We try to plan it to win the title in front of our fans and it was great it went that way." Tuigamala had a part to play in Wigan's opening four tries. The first two came when the powerhouse centre followed up Shaun Edward's kicks scoring the first and laying the ball off for Rob Smyth for the second.

The Bulls had narrowed the gap with a neat Robbie Paul try but just before the break Tuigamala made the decisive opening that ended with Martin Offiah racing in for a touch down.

A Gerald Cordell try put the champions back under pressure, but not for long as the former All Black blasted his way through a game to send young winger Smyth in for his second try.

Henry Paul, so instrumental in the Regal Trophy success at the weekend, then stepped into the spotlight with a dazzling break that ended in prop Neil Cowie galloping over before the stand off scythed through the defence for a sensational solo effort. The Yorkshiremen's recent recruit, Paul Cook scored a try and added the goal in the dying minute, but there was no spoiling the Riversiders' party.

Skipper Edwards said:"It would have been an injustice if we had lost it this season. At times it was not vintage Wigan but considering the number of players we have lost it was an outstanding performance.

"It was tough to lift ourselves coming so close to the Regal Trophy final and it was a slight anti-climax but we toughed it out and got a result."
