RADCLIFFE Boro came ever so close to causing an upset in the Lancashire ATS Trophy last night.
An almost uneventful 90 minutes gave little indication of the drama that was to unfold in extra time of a game against Premier Division Accrington Stanley that finished in a 1-1 stalemate at the end of 90 minutes.
On 115 minutes Andy Kilner produced a moment of pure inspiration when he chipped the 'keeper from 35 yards. Sadly with two minutes left Boro 'keeper Andy Johnston produced a magnificent double save but the ball jslipped from his grasp and Paul Beck tapped in an equaliser.
