BOLTON Schools under 14s hit top form to beat St Helens 5-1 in their challenge match on Merseyside.
Mark Williams (Canon Slade) opened their account heading home a Jamie Wilson (Turton) cross and Gareth Strange (Mount St Joseph's) made it 2-0 with a fine individual goal.
The home side reduced the arrears but Russell Hodgkinson (Westhoughton) restored their two goal advantage before Steven Flitcroft (Turton) added a superb double after the break.
Bury Under 15s stretched their unbeaten record to 16 matches when they beat Wigan 1-0 in their final Greater Manchester School's League Cup group match at the Derby School on Saturday.
Bury Under 14s, trailing 2-0 mid way through the first half hit back to hold Wigan to a 2-2 draw in their challenge match at Elton School. Paul Lyons and Chris Rawlinson (penalty) were the Bury marksmen.
