Bolton upset
leaders march THE SHOCK result of the day on Sunday must have been the Under 16s game when top of the table Bromley Cross were held to a 5-5 draw away at bottom of the league AFC Bolton.
AFC's goals came from Paul Geraghty and Paul Worgan brace with two each plus a goal from David Winnard.
In the same section Farnworth Boys also had a fine 3-1 away win against Horwich, Gary Greenhalgh (two) and Simon Yates scoring for Farnworth Boys.
In the Premier section the shock result of the day was at Breightmet United where Daisy Hill inflicted Breightmet's first League defeat of the season when they came away with a 1-0 win. Their goal coming from Lee Crompton. In the same section Radcliffe Boro picked up two points with an away victory 2-1 at Moss Bank B, with a goal each for Mark Westhead and Dean O'Brien. In the Under 15s Intermediate Section the result of the day was at Kearsley Boys where kearsley defeated Lucas Juniors in a close game 3-2, with goals coming from Adrian Rhone double and a goal for Gary Riley. This was a blow to Lucas Junior's hopes of winning the title.
In the Under 13s Colts Section, Dean Sports had an emphatic 8-1 home win against AFC Bolton with Daniel Clorley scoring four of his sides goals, plus a double from Liam Ralph and a goal each from Andrew Lundy and Bramidele Sangaloloa. There were also wins for Bromley Cross away at Hindsford Juniors 9-1 with goals from Barry Trevett (two), Tim Greensill (two), plus goals for Michael Kelly, Agrafiotis, Stephen Robinson, Ian Coppard and Craig Denton. Sommerton Rovers in a seven goal thriller at home to Westhoughton Rangers where they won 4-3 with a brace each for both Michael Lawson and Gary Pennington.
In the Under 12s Junior Section Ladybridge had a comfortable home victory 6-0 against Harper Green with goals from a Stephen Hallen hat-trick plus goals for Arron Leece and Matthew Dawber plus David O'Kelly.
