BURY have joined forces with Swinton Rugby League Club in a bid to boost each other's crowds.
Swinton, who play at Gigg Lane, are calling on Shakers fans to get behind them in the Lions' big Silk Cut Challenge Cup fourth round tie against mighty Leeds on Sunday.
The incentive for Bury fans to witness Swinton's biggest game since switching to Gigg Lane is the offer of cut price tickets for the Shakers' Third Division home game against Lincoln City on Saturday, Feb, 17.
The two clubs hope the initiative sparks a huge increase in attendances at both matches with Swinton's management viewing the game as their big chance of tempting soccer fans in the town to watch rugby league.
Every supporter will receive a reduced admission voucher at the turnstile which will enable adults to see Bury play Lincoln for £5 and juniors for only £1.
