WIGAN and England skipper Shaun Edwards will today discover whether his remarkable run in the Silk Cut Challenge Cup is about to come to an end.
The 29-year-old Test half-back is the only player to have appeared in every tie during Wigan's staggering 42-match unbeaten sequence in the competition.
But that record will be brought to a halt if he is banned when he appears before the Rugby Football League disciplinary committee at the game's headquarters in Leeds this afternoon.
Edwards was cited by Bradford for two tackles on young Kiwi scrum-half Robbie Paul during Wigan's championship-clinching victory at Central Park nine days ago.
And any suspension would rule him out of Sunday's fourth-round tie against second division Bramley.
Dominant Wigan have won the Challenge Cup for the past eight seasons with Edwards having appeared in 10 finals in all and gained nine winners' medals - all records for the prestigious competition.
