CALLING all animal lovers - a Bolton charity shop needs you.
The People's Dispensary for Sick Animals shop in Ridgway Gates, Bolton, is in desperate need of volunteers because the Community Action Scheme, which currently finds volunteers to man the shop, is to be scrapped.
The PDSA shops play a vital role in raising money for the charity, which treats 1.3 million sick and injured animals each year. But the Bolton shop could be in danger if new volunteers are not found. Manager Stella Mort said: "When the current volunteers leave, I don't know what I'll do if more volunteers don't come forward. I would put a plea out to all animal-loving, hard-working people to get in touch."
Interested people can contact Stella on 01204 396373 or call into the shop at 8/10 Ridgway Gates.
