A NEW project has been launched to help Bolton Council tenants to connect up to the technology of the future.
The idea is to allow tenants who live in communal dwellings the opportunity of subscribing to cable TV.
The launch of the project was marked with a presentation to two of the first customers, Rene Eyres and Mary Knowles.
Cllr Brian Iddon, housing chairman, said: "Tenants who live in communal dwellings are prevented from putting up their own satellite dishes due to planning restrictions on the number of dishes allowed.
"By linking these communal dwellings via the cable network, everyone has the opportunity to subscribe to as many channels as they wish with the additional bonus of being able to receive telephone services."
