PLACES are still available for Bolton secondary school pupils to visit twin towns Le Mans and Paderborn later in the year.
The exchanges are an enjoyable way for pupils to improve their language skills while seeing something of a different culture.
Most of the time will be spent with the exchange partner and family with organised events such as day trips and a civic reception at the town hall.
The exchange trip to Paderborn in Germany takes place from March 30 to April 14, with Paderborn students visiting Bolton from July 20 to August 4. The exchange to Le Mans in France takes place between August 17 and 31 with the Le Mans students visiting Bolton between July 20 and August 4.
The cost, which includes insurance and all excursions, is £175. This can be paid in instalments and, in certain cases, financial help may be available from the town twinning committee.
More information and application forms from Mrs Sandra Telleck, Department of Education and Arts, PO Box 53, Paderborn House, Bolton, BL1 1JW. Or ring her on Bolton 522311, ext 2023.
