WIGAN beat the cream of soccer and the rest of British sport to scoop two top awards last night.
Coach Graeme West fended off the challenge of top soccer managers to land the top boss award while Va'aiga Tuigamala was named top Honorary Brit brushing aside the credentials of foreign soccer players such as Dennis Bergkamp and Ruud Gullitt.
And Wigan almost made it a hat-trick finishing runners-up to the European Ryder Cup golf squad in the top team award. LEIGH'S Challenge Cup fourth round showdown at Hull KR has been put back a week after blizzards wiped out yesterday's game.
The clubs took advantage of the Rugby League's relaxation of the bye-laws which state that all postponed games must be rearranged for the first available midweek.
They feel that a Sunday afternoon game will attract a far bigger crowd than a midweek fixture.
Leigh, who have laid on nine free coaches for fans, will keep the same travel arrangements for the re-arranged date.
