SIR: We keep seeing in the BEN complaints about warden-controlled accommodation charging £1.60 a week.

What about home care from £31.20 to £46.70 a week? Why should they keep penalising the same people. We've saved up all our lives for our old age. Everybody is not honest. We cannot help being disabled and in bad health.

Who decides on these figures? An extra 25p at 80 buys a first class stamp.

I'm 84 years. old.
