WIGAN are to play their home games on a Sunday evening with a 6.30pm kick-off.
The Central Park outfit decided on the move with the introduction of the Super League which gets under way at the end of March and runs throughout the summer.
The champions' televised games will be on Friday or Saturday night but the remainder will be held at the new time.
"We have looked at the way it is done in Australia and decided to make it a family day out here," said chairman Jack Robinson.
"There will be a theme for each game and the Academy side will play prior to the seniors so there will be value for money for the spectators.
"We have had several requests from fans to have a late kick-off because of summer activities and we took that on board when making our decision."
Meanwhile Wigan will face several old boys when they take on Salford, coached by former Central Park favourite Andy Gregory, in the fifth round of the Silk Cut Challenge Cup. The Reds are the First Division champions and will pose the holders, who are bidding for their ninth successive title, a stern test. The tie looks favourite to be the televised match.
Coach Graeme West has given his players the week off after a hectic schedule, but will taking the game as seriously as ever.
"We will have them back with a week to prepare. It will be tough as they have a few former Wigan players wanting to prove they can give us a good shot, but we will prepare well and be ready for them.
"I would have preferred a home draw but if you are going to win the cup you have to beat anyone, anywhere at anytime." Giant loose-forward Andy Farrell came through the Bramley game without any reaction. It was his first match back since recovering from a hernia operation. CUP DRAW: Hull KR or Leigh v Bradford or Batley, Salford v Wigan, Dewsbury or London v Workington or Widnes, Rochdale or Thatto Heath v Castleford or St Helens, Whitehaven or Halifax v Sheffield, Oldham or Warrington v Swinton or Leeds, West Hull v Carlisle or Wakefield, Hull or Hunslet v Keighley or Barrow.
