SIR: After all the unnecessary debates forced to be held in the House by the Labour MPs on the future of the educational system in Britain the Labour Party is once again in turmoil through the action of the Leader of the Party, and now one of his Shadow Cabinet, on agreeing to further their children's education at grant maintained achools, even schools where the selection process is in operation.

Harriet Harman and smiling Tony are obviously the culprits in the latest political upheaval in the Labour party and it is obvious both the prominent members of their party must have secretly condoned the government's changes to the educational system. Now to make the issue more complicated, the famous two are supported by the Shadow Cabinet. Harriet Harman's decision to send her son to a selective grammar school which involves daily travel of 30 miles is to a certain extent difficult to understand, especially when her elder son attends the same grant maintained school as Tony Blair's son, which does not involve travelling the same distance from home.

The two have been quoted as being hypocrites, some say it is 'two-faced', and yet others quote them as being "faced all round".
