LITTLE Hulton made it three successive victories with an ominously powerful victory at Edgworth.

Danny Beswick's 7-25 kept the visitors' total down to 116-8. But it wasn't enough as pro Tim O'Sullivan and second teamer Vincent Mullineaux got to work on the Edgworth batsmen.

O'Sullivan grabbed 7-39 and Mullineaux, who was only called up due to injuries, took the rest for 32 runs as they whittled the home side out for just 86 runs.

The champions' victory keeps the pressure firmly on Spring View who went top with an impressive ten-wicket victory over British Aerospace. The target of 131-5 was never a problem as pro Paul Matthews' unbeaten 66 and Nigel Geary's 52 not out swept Spring View to victory.

Darcy Lever maintained their early challenge with a fine win at Daisy Hill whose target of 111-9 was well within the visitors' reach as they met it with six wickets to spare. Atherton, who started the day on top, were held to a draw at Blackrod who never looked like getting close to the target of 159-9 as they eventually reached 96 with four wickets to spare.

Golborne's poor start continued but they will be kicking themselves for failing to get something at Elton who were frustrated by Ewan McCray's 5-55 as they were all out for 167.

The visitors began well enough at 54-1 before Elton pro Darren Foy (6-41) got to work and the visitors collapsed to 99 all out.

It was a total mismatch at Walshaw where Clifton made 203-6, Geoff Griffiths (62) and Ian Morris (56 not out) catching the eye. Walshaw had no answer to David Halliwell who ripped through their attack taking 7-23 in his 18 overs, which included ten maidens, as Walshaw were quickly whittled out for just 61.

Pro Charles Dagnall was the difference between his A&T and Adlington. He took 7-32 as Adlington were all out for 89 and then hit an unbeaten 47 as the home side completed the job with seven wickets to spare.
