STAN Ternent (manager): IT'S a lovely feeling and I'm pleased for the chairman, Hugh Eaves who has put his money where his mouth is, myself and the players because they deserve the success.
"They have had so many kicks in the teeth along the road but they have shown the character coupled with good discipline.
"I am delighted with the resilience and application they have given me. It is the players who deserve to celebrate because at the end of the day it is all about what they do and I am only as good, bad or indifferent as they are.
"The fans also deserve a special word of praise because they were absolutely blinding on Saturday and we need them to get behind us like that every time we play.
"To sum up I would say we got the extra cucumber on Saturday to make up the full salad." Terry Robinson (chairman): "THE beauty of this season is that it came off the back of the disappointment of last year which shows the character of the lads .
"It also puts paid to the myth that we fade after Christmas.
"We have the ability to progress even further. We have consistently added to the quality of the squad and we have a team which is equipped to perform in the Second Division. But lets just enjoy this success and then get on with next season." David Pugh (captain): "AFTER our third goal, our game was dead and all we were doing was listening to the crowd's reaction for the Darlington score. It was the longest second half I have ever known.
"When we were down in 22nd place last October we thought the best we could hope for was the play-offs so that shows how much the lads have achieved this season.
"We put our bad start to the season down to losing at Wembley last year. "This promotion more than makes up for that disappointment and is a far better feeling that when I went up with Chester two years ago."
Chris Lucketti: "IT'S a great feeling because I experienced the disappointment of going out of the league with Halifax. I decided to stay here and not go to Crystal Palace last summer because I though we would get promoted and I have been proved right.
"I desperately didn't want to go into the play-offs because my first baby is due the day before the first leg when we would have been away. "Now I can relax and my wife has got to do all the hard work. I feel on top of the world with promotion and my first baby on the way. I only hope that the baby will be as happy as I am."
