THE Three Towns Operatic Society will stage Johann Strauss's The Gipsy Baron from next Tuesday at Lowton Civic Hall at 7.30pm.
The operetta is in three acts and is set in the middle of the 18th century. It is a romantic tale of an Hungarian nobleman and his gipsy bride, and is a vehicle for some of Strauss's most romantic music, plus such comic highlights as the song of the wealthy pig farmer who is also the mayor.
Tickets from 01942 678114.
