ONE of the songs from Salad Days, which is being staged by St Catherine's Music Society, is We're Looking for a Piano.
The society has a piano - but no pianist for rehearsals. The plaintive cry from members is: "We are desperate."
Rehearsals have just started and are at 7.45pm on Thursdays in St Catherine's Church, Highfield Road.
If anyone can help, they should contact Sue Campian (01204 796039). This will be one of the last productions of the show on the amateur circuit because Salad Days has been revived in the West End. St Catherine's is one of the few societies with permission to perform it.
New members will be made welcome at St Catherine's and should go along on Thursday evenings.
Salad Days will be staged in October and auditions are on May 12.
