A MAN being quizzed by detectives probing the death of an Atherton mother of two was freed without charge this afternoon. Robert Glover, aged 40, was released on police bail pending further inquiries into the death of Elizabeth Keefe, aged 50.
Mrs Keefe was found dead by her daughter, Denise Coates, on the bedroom floor of the terraced home she shared with Mr Glover in Mealhouse Lane, Atherton. The distressed daughter had arrived at the house on Saturday to spend the Bank Holiday with her mother. Mr Glover had been helping police with their inquiries since he walked into a police station on Sunday night - more than 24 hours after Mrs Keefe's body was found. He contacted the police after they appealed for him to contact them.
