A NEW service which provides information on everything from health matters to business advice was recently launched in the Bolton City Challenge Area.
It could be available throughout the town if successful.
The Local Integrated Network Service, or LINS, is based on a computer database of information on a wide range of facilities, rights and advice.
Anyone who wants information can visit one of six centres in the Halliwell area where an assistant will be able to get information from the database to answer most questions, or help a customer take their query further.
The idea is that customers will not need to waste time visiting different organisations if the information is at hand.
LINS is based in the following centres where its distinctive logo is displayed and is a free service: Halliwell Action Team, Crossover 97, Healthlink, Prince Street Housing Office, Quest Centre, and the Community Support and Development Centre in Rushey Fold Lane.
