FASHION, music and drama with a difference will be coming to Bolton next month.

An environmental extravaganza involving clothes and musical instruments, all made from recycled, everyday materials, will be taking place on the evening of Monday, June 17, at the Jubilee Centre in Brownlow Fold.

Bolton residents are being invited to take part by making their outfits from materials they would otherwise throw away, such as the dusters, bin bags and tea-bags that were in last year's costumes, and wear them on the night of the show. To help make these creations, special workshops have been arranged for the Sundays of June 9 and 16 at the Crossover Shop on Halliwell Road when a professional designer will be on hand to help.

The event is being sponsored by Bolton City Challenge, the Halliwell Youth Fund and the Howcroft Inn, which is also offering a two drinks vouchers for anyone over 18 years old taking part, and a gallon of beer and two meal vouchers to the adult winner.

Prizes for the youngsters will include record and clothes vouchers. Organiser David Shuttleworth said: "The show is promoting the importance of recycling. "There will be a lot more going on this year because, in addition to the recycled fashion show, we'll have music, dancing and drama.

"It's going to be a great spectacle, a lot of fun and well worth taking part."
