FOR a school that once was threatened with closure, Affetside Primary School has made remarkable progress.
Although it has only 60 pupils and is one of the smallest in the Bolton and Bury area, Affetside Primary, as we reported yesterday, has received glowing praise from OFSTED inspectors. Staff and pupils at the school were still coping with heavy flooding damage caused by a burst when the inspectors arrived. Despite that, the inspectors recognised the school's worth.
Their praise is a tribute to the combined efforts of staff, pupils, governors and parents. Congratulations to them all.
