CHRISTINE Skiffington is a remarkable woman. She emerged from a two-year coma after almost dying following a massive brain haemorrhage, and after her husband Dennis had refused to allow the life-support machine to be switched off.
Now the Breightmet woman is back voluntarily at The Moss County Primary School where she was a secretary. nd, by helping the children in their reading she has been re-learning the life skills she had forgotten.
Her courage in simply returning to the place where she worked, and starting again, is obviously typical of Mrs Skiffington.
It is also reward for her husband, family and friends who all refused to give up hope.
