BOLTON Golf Association recorded their first away victory over East Lancs in 26 years with a10-8 win at Nelson.
Bolton fielded a relatively new young team which justified their selection and should secure a strong side for the future.
After sharing the foursomes, Bolton went behind when Paul Dwyer eclipsed Tim Philbin and Stuart Andrew halved with Bill Bromilow in the top singles matches.
Bolton came storming back and Alex Fau-Goodwin, Norman Fletcher and Jason Garside all won before Steve Parry despatched John Reed to settle the issue.
